Carbon Footprint

The result of the Carbon Footprint Calculator is as follows:

The average domestic carbon footprint for a member of the Kemnay Congregation is 3.27 tonnes.  The Scottish average is 2.9 tonnes.

The Church Buildings contribute 0.06 tonnes per person per year. The Scottish average for business buildings is 4.3 tonnes per person per year.

For 570 members (approx) of Kemany Church, the sum of the congregations  annual carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere is 1800 tonnes.

Thank you to everyone. Working together within the Church and at home to reduce this figure by 5% each year will help to meet the target of 80% by 2020 as tabled by the Scottish Climate Change Bill

See you in a few years to measure it again!
