GROUPS FOR ADULTS

GOOD MORNING GROUP
This is a women’s group that meets weekly on Tuesday mornings for fellowship, discussion, Bible study and prayer. The group also supports the work of Sister Dorothy and Jane in Zambia.
 

BIBLE DISCOVERY GROUPS
Presently two groups meeting in the evening. Both  groups follow a systematic Bible Study and provides fellowship and prayer. Details can be found on weekly Church notices.

MEN’S GROUP
How do men cope with their role in a changing society? This group is for Christian men to support each other in an informal setting.  Meets about six times a year. For next meeting see events page click here.

COURSES FOR ADULTS

A number of courses are offered each year.
Information of starting dates are given in the
Kirk News and intimation sheets, also on Church Centre notice boards. General information from the office on 01467 643883.

WAY COURSE
This is a six-week course offering a chance to find out about Christianity from an adult approach, run by the minister.

ALPHA COURSE                                                                                       This 13-week course offers a chance to find out more about your faith, run by Church elders and members.
There is also a Young Adults and Junior Alpha available.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
This course has proved extremely valuable to those who are about to be married. It is offered once a year and is highly commended by those who have attended.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT
A follow up to the Marriage Preparation course and also to give support to those who have been married for some time.

OTHER COURSES                                                                                      From time to time our Outreach or Education or Care working group run courses for members. Look at Events page for new courses.

NEW MEMBERS COURSE
A course to prepare for membership of the Church is offered twice a year using the Alpha Course or the Way course. This is followed up with an evening when information is given about the work of the Church.

PRESBYTERY ADULT EDUCATION COURSES
From time to time courses are offered on prayer, working with children and young people, Walk Through the Bible etc.

CHURCH BOOKSHELF                                                                             Books are made available for sale from time to time at Church services and special events.                                                                                              A book of the month is made available and reviewed in the monthly Kirk News magazine.
